Hebrews 13:1-6

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (vv5-6)

George Muller was a young German Christian who lived in England in the early 1800s and loved God with every atom of his being. That man of God discovered what can be accomplished through an ordinary man who trusts, in an extraordinary God. His unwavering childlike dependence upon his heavenly Father for every need and God’s faithfulness to provide gave him a perspective on finances that is simple but profound. In his autobiography he said: “Money is of no value to me unless I can use it for God. The more I pay out for the work of God, the more prospect I have of being further supplied by Him. The larger the sum I obtain from Him, in answer to prayer, the greater is the proof of the blessedness and the reality of dealing directly with God alone for what  I need. Therefore, I have as much joy in giving as in receiving. Many believers have never experienced the joy and fulfillment that come as a result of giving to the Lord’s work in tithes and offerings. They have never known the satisfaction of honoring God through their giving.

As a result, they have also never known the blessings that can come upon every  area of their lives as a result of that obedience. (Benny Hinn)

PRAYER LINE: Father Lord, help me to appreciate the joy and fulfillment that come from giving to You in tithes and offerings. Help me to have the joy in making vows and fulfilling them in Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

We can trust God unchanging Word.
