THE JESUS IN YOU SHOULD BE OBVIOUS Acts 4:13-14
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.” (vv13-14)
When you have genuine power and authority you do not need to advertise or prove it. People who do that generally, have an inferiority complex or some other self-esteem problem. Peter and John did not brag about their Jesus Seminary degrees, they simply released the power of the kingdom into a crippled man’s body and he was instantly set free. When the powers that be challenged the disciples authority, they pointed to the King of kings and preached the gospel of the kingdom with unshakable confidence. It took the Sanhedrin to the core. One night I went to lift weights and saw a man who seemed to be nearly as wide in the shoulders as he was tall. The muscles of his chest were massive. He did not swagger, brag, or talk much, and he did not have to. He did not have to tell anyone in that place that he was strong, we could tell by looking at him.
When you walk in the power of the kingdom gospel, you do not have to announce your authority or power. You do not have to prove it. Anytime you walk through a crowd of people, they can “see” it with a glace. Genuine kingdom people are called to take the message and power of the king into all the world with confidence and boldness. I pray that more and more people will look at us and realize we have “been with Jesus”.
PRAYER LINE: Lord Jesus, my job is simple, I go and do as You did. I speak Your Word, I do Your work, and I preach that Your kingdom is come. Grant me boldness to do more, dream more, dare more, and reap more for the kingdom, and bring glory to Your Name. (CTC)
