THE ARMOR OF GOD (2)                                   2 Corinthians 5:12-21

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (v21)

Then you must have on the breastplate of righteousness. That refers to your right standing with God. When you accept Jesus, you become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:12). You wouldn’t be any match against the devil if you didn’t have right standing with God. But because of your redemption in Christ, you do have right standing with God, and you are seated as a joint-heir with Christ. “And of Children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17) Your feet must be shod with the preparation of the gospel of grace. Then be effective in prayer, you must walk in the light of God’s Word (1 John 1:7) As the psalmist of old said, “The entrance of THE WORDS giveth light…” (Psalm 119:130)  It’s hard to walk when the path before you is dark. But with the light of God’s Word you never have to walk in darkness under Satan’s dominion .

As soon as the light of God’s Word brings light and faith because “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17) And faith in God’s Word is your major defense against Satan’s onslaughts against your mind and your life. The shied of faith has to  be used in your everyday life and also in your every kind of fiery dart to your mind to get your attention diverted to keep you from staying in faith. (Kenneth E. Hagin)

PRAYER LINE: Father, please grant me the grace to think faith thoughts and speak faith words continually, so that I don’t give the devil a space in my life. I pray in Jesus’ Name.
