SURRENDER TO THE FATHER’S LOVE 1 Corinthians 2:6-11
But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
My friend, I am more convinced than ever before that God the Father wants to bless, His obedient children far more than we can handle, far more than we can comprehend. The apostle Paul barely hinted at this when he declared: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9) In some ways this verse is the key: God has prepared much for those who love Him.
Experiencing the incredible life of blessing that God has for you really isn’t any more complicated than falling in love with the Almighty, and so letting Him do all for you that He intends. The life of blessing He intends for you is falling in love with God the Father. And in any relationship between a good father and an obedient child, the father pours the best into the life of that child and the child moves in love and trust with the father. We must begin at the beginning. And that place of beginning is surrender. Surrender is giving all to God without reservation. He wants us to surrender because we love Him. As any parent knows, what brings the most to the heart is when a child obeys simply to bring delight to the heart of the parent. The love that pleases the Father – the kind of love that gives what is first and what is best. (Benny Hinn)
PRAYER LINE: Lord Jesus, teach us to surrender to the Father’s love and help us to be bearers of the gospel of peace and love.
