“Moses when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child...(V23)
This is a beautiful message found in Hebrews 11:23 concerning the faith of parents. In the face of a decree from Pharaoh concerning the mass slaughter of every new born male child up to the age of two years, the parents of Moses did not give in. By faith, they hid him from the destruction that had been decreed. God had a hand upon this life. Moses was educated by the best teachers of his time, in the house of Pharaoh. He became a great man, a captain in the army. I believe that the reason Moses was such a great man was because he had parents who had faith in God. Their faith was not disappointed. Every one of us as parents needs to learn how to instruct our children in the things of God. God promised His people that He would bless our seed, and that He would bless the fruit of the womb. That is God’s promise to fathers and His promise to mothers, each individually. Refuse to accept any thing less than this, if you are a child of God. Lay claim to the promise of God and stand firm regardless of what comes into your life. God’s hand is on the life of each of your children. Regardless of what that child of yours is bound with, you and I can agree and bring deliverance. God said, “…if two of you shall agree on earth (Matt 18:19) It is time now to arise out of that state of despondency, take a firm grip upon God’s eternal Word knowing that if He has promised, He will do it (Num 11:23; 23:19) (R. W. Schambach)
