“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb 11:1)
Faith in God and His eternal promises is the strongest weapon which we as believers have against fear. But what is faith and how does it come?
The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:1… the evidence of things not seen.” V6 of that same chapter goes on to say “But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” The pages of the Bible are filled with many accounts of divine intervention in the lives of ordinary men and women. God intervened in the affairs of men as they called upon Him throughout the Old Covenant. But when God sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to be born and live as the Son of God and Son of man, He replaced the Old Covenant with a new and better Covenant. As a child, the behavior of Jesus was often recognized as unusual and out – of – the – ordinary for someone of His age. At the age of 12 Jesus was found at the synagogue discussing the law with the religious leaders of the day… Time and time again, His great understanding of the law…was noted by men of authority in the religious community. Where did this knowledge come from? (Benny Hinn)
