“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts. The whole earth is full of His glory” (Isa 6:3)

(3) Godly Wisdom Is Gentle. Wise believers will be gentle believers. Strife and harshness is the way of the world’s wisdom. Forgiveness is one of the most difficult of all virtue in both a Christian as well as a non – Christian environment. In our world of harsh scrutiny, to err not only is human it is unforgivable. The attitude of Godly wisdom, however, is one of gentleness toward each other. We are expected to turn aside wrath with kind words. The Lord Jesus is our example, who though reviled He reviled not. Though He was hated for the truthfulness of His message, He responded to His assailants with love. James alludes to this type of attitude when he says “therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:19-20)

(4) Godly Wisdom Is Willing to Yield. The next characteristic of wisdom from above is that it is willing to yield or “easy to be entreated,” (Authorized v) This Greek expression was used in the language of the military-someone willing to take instructions from the commander- in-chief. Stubbornness and flexibility are natural traits in all of us. In Matters of biblical truth of course; it’s true that we should encourage others to agree with God’s viewpoint. We should reflect a willingness to listen, to truly hear other’s views, to be willing to assent and be a team player when issues of God’s truth are not at stake. (Kenneth M. Burham)
